- Olympic Relay: A team event (2-3 people) covering the Olympic triathlon distances.
- Sprint Triathlon (Individual): A 750 m swim, a 12.2 mile bike, and a 5 km run.
- Sprint Aquabike (Individual): A 750 m swim and a 12.2 mile bike.
- Sprint Relay: A team event (2-3 people) covering the Sprint triathlon distances.
Venue and Course Details
The swim takes place in the southeast portion of Lake Anna. The venue is noted for its views of the lake and the Blue Ridge Mountains. The swim course is located about a quarter-mile from where the warmer side of the lake meets the cooler side, which can result in water temperatures being several degrees warmer than the rest of the lake in late April.
Registration and Details
Registration includes a finisher medal, an event tech shirt, custom race socks, a packet pickup reusable bag, timed results, age group awards, a post-race meal, a finisher certificate, and free finish line photos. The event is sanctioned by USA Triathlon. The race uses a time trial swim start, with two athletes starting every few seconds, and also offers an Elite Box Start for those aiming for top overall positions.
