Top Gun Triathlon : August 1, 2026
The Top Gun Triathlon is a USAT-sanctioned multisport event held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, in St. Petersburg, Florida (3500 Pinellas Bayway S., Fort DeSoto area). The race program includes individual and relay options plus an Aqua-Bike and a Clydesdale-Athena division.
Race formats and distances
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.25 mile swim, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Sprint Duathlon: 1.5 mile run, 10 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Aqua Bike: 0.25 mile swim, 10 mile bike
Logistics, awards and amenities
Packet pick-up is available the days before the race at PLAYTRI St. Petersburg (2132 Central Ave) and on race morning at Shelter 11 (Fort DeSoto). All participants must show photo ID and proof of current USAT membership or purchase a one-day USAT license. Relay teams may have one member pick up all team packets.
All entrants receive a free T-shirt at packet pick-up and a custom finisher medal at the finish. The event offers food and beer at pre/post-race areas and has a closed course on the roads in Fort DeSoto. Awards include overall male and female, masters and older age categories, and age-group awards (1st through 4th in standard age bands).
