The Kenmore Quad

The Kenmore Quad is a multi-sport community event held in Kenmore, Washington. This event modifies the traditional triathlon format by adding a fourth component of paddling. The activities take place at Log Boom Park and utilize the local waterfront parks, bike paths, and pedestrian facilities. Specifically, the course includes the Burke-Gilman Trail and the Sammamish River Trail.

The event is designed as a non-competitive activity and is not timed. Participants must be at least 18 years old to enter. Registration includes a t-shirt for each participant and entry into a drawing for various prizes. For the paddling segment, limited watercraft rentals for kayaks or stand-up paddleboards are available while supplies last.

Participants can choose from the following event formats:

  • Quad - Single Participant: One person completes all four segments.
  • Quad Relay - 2 Person: A team of two shares the segments.
  • Quad Relay - 3 Person: A team of three shares the segments.
  • Quad Relay - 4 Person: A team of four shares the segments.

  • 1/4 mile swim: Starts at the Log Boom Park beach.
  • 6 mile bike: A ride to the Wayne Golf Course area and back.
  • 1.6 mile run: A one-way route toward Tl'awh-ah-dees Park.
  • 1.3 mile paddle: A one-way route from Tl'awh-ah-dees Park back to Log Boom Park.
