Rockaway Beach Triathlon/Duathlon

The Rockaway Beach Triathlon/Duathlon takes place on Sunday, September 13, 2026, at the Rockaway Beach Amphitheater (B95th Street), Queens, NY 11693. The event includes Triathlon, Duathlon, Team Relay Triathlon, Team Relay Duathlon, and a Volunteer 1 for 1 option. Events are open to ages 18 and older. The race is not USAT certified or sanctioned, and a USAT racing license is not required. At the time of the listing, total event participants were 137, all entered in the Triathlon event.

Course and practical details

The swim occurs in open Atlantic water and can feature big waves and strong currents; wetsuits are optional. The bike and run use the concrete boardwalk. The bike course runs from B95th Street to B27th Street and back, completed as two loops. The run is along the boardwalk with a turnaround near B125th Street and finishes at the transition area by B95th Street. Volunteers are asked to work the race period and must sign out to earn race credit.
