39th Annual March Classic Duathlon
The event takes place on Sunday, March 22, 2026, in Central Park, New York City, with a listed address of 72 E 72nd St, New York, NY 10021. The program includes three event options: Duathlon, Volunteer 1 for 1, and Team Relay Duathlon. The race is not USAT certified or sanctioned and a USAT racing license is not required.
Course and distances
- Run 1: 2.2 miles out-and-back on Central Park Drive.
- Bike: 12 miles (two loops of 6 miles each) around Central Park Drive.
- Run 2: 2.2 miles out-and-back.
Run legs use Central Park Drive and proceed to the 96th Street Playground turnaround. The course has no significant elevation gain except an early climb up Cat's Paw hill. The bike course has about 250 ft of elevation gain per loop. The park remains open to the public during the race and course marshals will be positioned at points along the route.
Entry, fees and volunteers
Listed entry fees include a Duathlon price of $96.40 (includes fees) and a Team Relay price of $128.20 (includes fees). Duathlon registration is open to ages 18 and older. Prices increase after January 31, 2026. Volunteer registration is free and registration for that option ends March 19, 2026; volunteers are scheduled for duties during the race morning and must sign out to earn race credit.
