Princeton Triathlon
The Princeton Triathlon takes place in Princeton, New Jersey. The event features a variety of multi-sport categories hosted at 380 Witherspoon St. Participants can choose from several distinct formats:
- Sprint Triathlon
- Sprint Duathlon
- Youth Triathlon (open to ages 12 and under)
- SuperSprint Triathlon (open to ages 13 and older)
- Sprint Aquabike
- Sprint Triathlon Relay
The swim portion of the event typically occurs in water with a historic temperature of approximately 70°F. The competition follows official USAT wetsuit rules, which allow for wetsuit use at or below 78°F. Transition areas for equipment and the swim warmup are available on the morning of the event.
Primary parking is located at 372 Witherspoon St, where volunteers assist with traffic direction. Registration is conducted digitally, as paper applications and cash are not accepted. Participants can collect their race packets on the morning of the race or on the Friday prior. The Friday session also includes a race briefing. The event is organized with the support of local Princeton township departments and the non-profit organization Dare2Tri, which focuses on adaptive sports.
