Events and Distances
The event is the 9th annual women's triathlon. It takes place over two days in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The main events are held on the second day, Sunday. There is also a separate Kids Philadelphia Triathlon held on the Saturday.
The available race formats and their distances are:
- Sprint Triathlon: a 300-meter pool swim, a 9-mile bike ride, and a 5k run.
- Sprint Duathlon: a 1-mile run, a 9-mile bike ride, and a 5k run.
- Sprint Aquabike: a 300-meter pool swim and a 9-mile bike ride.
- Super Sprint Triathlon: a 50-meter pool swim, a 4-mile bike ride, and a 2-mile run.
- Kids Philadelphia Triathlon: a 50-meter swim, a two-mile bike ride, and a 1-mile run.
Relay team options are available for the Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Duathlon, and Sprint Aquabike.
Venue and Course
All swimming takes place in the Historic Kelly Pool; the event does not use the Schuylkill River. The bike course is on Martin Luther King Drive along the river, which is closed to vehicle traffic. The running portion takes place around the Please Touch Museum and the Horticultural Center in West Fairmount Park.
Registration includes a custom finisher medal, an event-specific t-shirt, timed results, and live athlete tracking via an app. A post-race breakfast is provided. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
