Abington Triathlon (May 30, 2026)
The Second Annual Abington Triathlon takes place in Abington, PA at Abington High School, 900 Highland Ave, 19001. The event program includes an individual triathlon, a team triathlon, a duathlon, a 5K run, and an aqua bike event. Listed entry fees are: individual triathlon $95, team triathlon $120, duathlon $95, 5K $30, and aqua bike $95. Pre-registration closes on May 28, 2026.
Course and logistics
The event begins with a 300 meter swim in the heated pool at Abington High School, followed by an 11.5 mile bike course described as two loops that start and finish at the transition area, and ends with a 5K run across the Abington High School and Middle School campuses. The bike route passes on local roads including Ghost Rd, Highland Ave, Wharton Rd, Keswick Ave, Geneva Ave, Tyson Ave, Edgehill Rd, and Keith Rd.
Parking is available on the high school and middle school campus; access to those lots will be closed during the race. A secondary parking lot at Copper Beech Elementary School, 825 Easton Rd, Glenside, will remain open for entry and exit and provide access to the course. Early bib pick-up is scheduled for Friday, May 29 at Abington Police Headquarters.
Awards and beneficiaries
All finishers receive a finisher medal. Top three male and female finishers are awarded in each age division (19 and under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and over) and in the team division. Proceeds benefit Abington Youth and Community organizations, Abington Community Task Force, Citizens and Police Together, and the Police Athletic League.
