Monster Triathlon : Keller, TX (October 11, 2026)
The Monster Triathlon is a USAT-sanctioned triathlon held in Keller, Texas at 1000 Bear Creek Pkwy. The 2026 event is the 21st edition and includes separate divisions for Age Group, Athena (female, 165 lbs and up), and Clydesdale (male, 220 lbs and up). Registered participants receive DAR socks and a finishers medal. In inclement weather the race course may be shortened or altered, and the event may be cancelled at the discretion of the Race Director.
Format, logistics and awards
- 300 m swim in the Keller Natatorium indoor pool
- 14.3 miles bike course, run as three loops
- 3.1 mile run
Packet pickup is scheduled at Bike Mart in Richardson and at Bear Creek Running Company in Keller on dates before the race, with an additional adult-only pickup the day before the event. Competitors must follow USA Triathlon rules and must present photo ID; one-day USAT permits are available during registration. Awards are given three deep per age group and for Athena and Clydesdale (39 and under; 40+), with individual overall, masters and grand masters awards. Age group brackets run from 14 & under through 75 & over. Awards are based on gun time for running events and chip time for triathlon events and must be picked up in person or by a designated person.
