Event Overview
The Caveman Triathlon is a multisport event located in Flower Mound, Texas. This long-standing North Texas tradition includes sprint-distance triathlon options and a standalone running race. The event provides a structured format for various categories, including Age Group, Athena for females over 165 lbs, and Clydesdale for males over 220 lbs.
Course Details
The sprint triathlon consists of three consecutive segments. Participants complete a 275 yard swim, followed by a 10.8 mile bike ride, and concluding with a 3.1 mile run. A dedicated running event is also available for those not participating in the full triathlon:
- 5K Run/Walk: This event utilizes the same 3.1 mile course as the triathlon running segment.
Participant Amenities and Policies
All registered participants receive a custom short-sleeve technical shirt, a pair of DAR socks, and a finisher's medal upon completion of their event.
The event has a specific weather policy in place for safety. In the case of inclement weather, the start may be delayed by up to one hour. If conditions do not improve, the course may be shortened or altered.
