Event Overview
The eighteenth edition of the Mini of Fairfield County Seaside Sprint Triathlon and Duathlon takes place at Seaside Park in Bridgeport, Connecticut. This multisport event features both triathlon and duathlon formats, with participation options for individuals, youth athletes, and relay teams.
Course Details
The race is held on a flat course that is closed to all vehicle traffic. The specific segments include:
- Swim: A single loop in the Sound starting from the sandy shore.
- Bike: Two loops totaling 10 miles (5 miles per loop) on a flat, closed course.
- Run: A single flat loop covering 3.1 miles.
The duathlon option is available for participants who do not wish to compete in the swimming portion of the event.
Amenities and Recognition
Participants receive finisher medals upon completion of the course. The event provides food for athletes, and an awards ceremony is held to recognize performance in specific age groups. Registration is open for individual competitors as well as relay teams, which are permitted for both the triathlon and duathlon categories.
