BoFish Triathlon
The 7th Annual BoFish Triathlon takes place at Pinewood Lake in Trumbull, Connecticut. This multi-sport event focuses on a personalized experience for all participants. The course utilizes the natural landscape of the area, starting and finishing at Pinewood Lake.
The event offers two primary participation categories:
- Triathlon: A solo entry consisting of all three disciplines.
- Corporate Relay: A team-based entry for up to three members.
The triathlon course consists of three distinct segments. It begins with a 1 mile swim in Pinewood Lake. This is followed by a 25 mile out-and-back bicycle ride. The final leg is a 5 mile run around the lake, which includes sections with significant hills. Participants who register at least three weeks before the event will have their names printed on their race bibs.
Amenities for the event include a live a-capella National Anthem and a DJ. Awards are presented to the top four male and female overall finishers, as well as the top relay team. Results are tracked electronically with live online updates and video available. All proceeds from the competition are donated to the Cardinal Sheehan Center, a community youth center located in Bridgeport, to support the resurfacing of their basketball court.
