Overview
The event is called Coeur d' Alene Triathlon 2026 and is billed as "The Scenic Challenge." It includes triathlon, duathlon, and sprint race formats. The event takes place in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, with the main venue at City Park and Beach next to Lake Coeur d'Alene and the Triathlon Village.
Courses and distances
- Olympic swim: 1.5 km (traditional Olympic distance swim)

Olympic-distance and Duathlon bike riders follow a full 40K bike course that leaves the lakeshore and goes onto Mullan Trail Road, which includes an uphill section. The bike course for other distances follows Coeur d'Alene Lake Drive along the shoreline. The Olympic swim departs from a cruise ship in the bay and finishes at the sandy beach shoreline of City Park. The run course goes north on the North Idaho Centennial Trail beside the Spokane River. There are two turn-around points on the Centennial Trail: the 5K turn-around in front of the University of Idaho/LCSC Harbor Center and the 10K turn-around under the Seltice Way overpass. The course finishes at the Triathlon Village in City Park adjacent to the city beach.

Registration categories include Olympic, Sprint, Duathlon, relays, and Team Hoyt entries. Early-bird prices listed in the source include, for example, $133.33 for the Olympic categories and $122.33 for the Sprint category. Late registrations may have limited event shirt availability.
