Wildcat Indoor Triathlon
The Wildcat Indoor Triathlon takes place at a fitness facility in Evanston, Illinois. This competition differs from traditional triathlons by measuring performance based on the total distance covered within specific time limits rather than a fixed distance course. Participants compete across three consecutive disciplines in an indoor environment.
The event structure consists of:
- 10 minute swim
- 20 minute bike
- 15 minute run
The event features two primary categories for registration. The collegiate category is reserved exclusively for collegiate athletes, while the open category is available for other participants. This indoor race serves as a qualifying event for the U.S. Collegiate Club Triathlon Nationals.
Participants receive specific event gear based on registration timing, as the first 75 individuals to register receive a swim cap. Scoring is determined by identifying the individuals who achieve the furthest cumulative distance across the swimming, biking, and running segments within the allotted time frames.
