Wauconda Triathlons
The Wauconda Triathlons are part of the Lake County Sprint Tri Series and offer multiple race formats for different age groups and skill levels. The event is organized by the Wauconda Park District and takes place in Wauconda, Illinois. Participants can choose between several distinct race distances and categories:
- Olympic
- Sprint
- Kids Race
The event features transition areas and structured courses for swimming, cycling, and running. Specific course maps are provided for each distance, including bike routes with elevation data and dedicated run paths for both the Sprint and Olympic categories. The Kids Race also operates on its own designated course.
For those interested in additional competition, the series includes the Fox Lake Tri and the Lake Zurich Tri, with an option to register for all three events at a bundled rate. The event follows USAT regulations, and information regarding common rule violations is provided to participants. Results for both the adult and youth categories are recorded and published after the event. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
