Event
The Santa Barbara Triathlon & Beach Festival is an annual multisport event held in August. The event has been established since 1981. The event page notes that registration is coming in 2026.
Location and course
The event is based at East Beach / Cabrillo Bathhouse in Santa Barbara, CA. The swim takes place at the Pacific Ocean shoreline with views of the Channel Islands. The bike route passes near the Santa Ynez mountains and includes climbs and fast straights, according to participant reports. The run finishes along the beachfront with music and refreshments in the finish area.
