Goleta Beach Triathlon

The Goleta Beach Triathlon is a multisport event held at Goleta Beach Park in Santa Barbara County. It features three separate events: a Sprint Triathlon, a Parent-Child Triathlon, and a Sprint Aquabike.

Event Details

The swim segment takes place in the calm ocean waters of a protected cove. The bike course follows a dedicated asphalt bike path that heads towards Santa Barbara and back. The run course is also on a dedicated bike path, described as spectator-friendly.

Course Distances

The standard Sprint Triathlon distances are:

  • Swim: 400 meters
  • Bike: 6 miles
  • Run: 2.5 miles (2 laps)

The Parent-Child Triathlon distances are:

  • Swim: 100 meters
  • Bike: 3 miles
  • Run: 1.25 miles (1 lap)
