The River Trail Adventure Triathlon, scheduled for June 21, 2025, in Lowell, MI, features a unique format that replaces swimming with kayaking. Participants can choose between two race distances: the Tri-Hard and Tri-Harder. The Tri-Hard includes a 1-mile kayak, a 6.5-mile bike ride, and a 1.5-mile run, while the Tri-Harder consists of a 2-mile kayak, a 16-mile bike ride, and a 3.5-mile run.
