About the race
The Pink Cheeks Triathlon, held annually in Seward, Alaska, offers a challenging course featuring a 5K run, 10K bike ride, and a 600-yard swim. Starting and finishing at Seward High School, the run and bike segments traverse hilly terrain including cross-country trails, city streets, and some gravel roads, with possible snow conditions in early May. The swim takes place in a pool with shared lanes.
Participants can compete solo (ages 13+) or in teams of three (ages 8+). The event welcomes all ability levels and emphasizes safety, requiring helmets for bikers and enforcing specific race rules.
