Miles Perret Cancer Services Triathlon

The Miles Perret Cancer Services Triathlon takes place on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at 225 Cajundome Blvd., Lafayette, LA. The event offers three entry types: individual, 2-person relay team, and 3-person relay team. The field is open to ages 1 to 100. The event is limited to 350 spots.

Course and rules

The triathlon consists of the following segments:

  • 200-yard swim at UL Bourgeois Pool
  • 8-mile bike ride, two laps along Cajundome Blvd
  • 2-mile run, one loop on Cajundome Blvd / Reinhardt / Coliseum

Bike helmets are required. Headphones or headsets are not allowed on the race course. Parking is at Cajun Field/Football Stadium; participants are expected to walk bikes to the transition area outside Bourgeois Hall. Certain intersections near Cajundome Blvd will be blocked before the event.

Packet pick-up is available Friday, August 14, outside UL Lafayette's Bourgeois Hall from 12 pm to 6 pm, and on race morning.

Registration, awards and refunds

Standard registration fees are $45 individual, $90 for a 2-person relay, and $135 for a 3-person relay. Late registration fees begin 7/29/2026 and are $55, $110, and $165 respectively. Awards include overall male and female 1st–3rd, overall masters male and female, and 1st–3rd for each age group. Relay teams compete together for a single top overall relay award. Registration fees are non-refundable but can be converted to a donation or transferred; requests must be made by Wednesday, August 12. The organizers reserve the right to cancel for extreme weather, in which case entry fees will be used as donations. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
