Medical Lake Trailblazer Event
The Medical Lake Trailblazer is a multisport event held in Medical Lake, Washington, during the Founders Day weekend. Participants can choose between several competitive formats, all starting and finishing at Waterfront Park. The routes utilize a combination of paved roads and local trails, providing a structured course for athletes.
Participants can select from the following event options:
- Triathlon: A 350-meter open water swim, a 12.2-mile bike ride, and a 2.92-mile run.
- Duathlon: A 1-mile run followed by a 12.2-mile bike ride and a 2.92-mile run.
- 5K Run: A 2.92-mile run following the Medical Lake Trail.
- Team Relays: Relay options are available for both the triathlon and duathlon formats.
The triathlon features a point-to-point swim in the lake before transitioning to the cycling and running segments. The 5K and the final running legs of the multisport races take place on the Medical Lake Trail.
