LoCo Sprint Triathlon
The LoCo Sprint Triathlon takes place in Ashburn, Virginia, starting from the Broadlands Community Center. This multisport event features three distinct segments centered within the Broadlands neighborhood. Participants complete a 300 meter pool swim, followed by a 12 mile bike ride, and conclude with a 5k run.
The course utilizes the Broadlands Community Center pool for swimming laps. The cycling portion follows a route through the surrounding neighborhood streets, and the running segment takes place on the local neighborhood paths. Participation is open to individuals of all experience levels, and athletes must be at least the age of their division by December 31, 2025.
Available competition formats include:
- Individual Triathlon: Complete all three segments solo.
- 2 Person Relay Team: Share the swimming, biking, and running legs between two people.
- 3 Person Relay Team: Each of the three members completes one specific segment.
All participants receive a commemorative shirt and a medal upon crossing the finish line. Awards are provided for the top three male and female finishers in every 10 year age group.
