Jamestown Triathlon
The Jamestown Triathlon takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Williamsburg, Virginia. The event is USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned and serves as the Virginia State Championships for both the Sprint and Olympic distances. State championship results qualify athletes for the Toyota Age Group National Championships based on the top 35% or the top five finishers in each age group (whichever is greater). High school athletes who finish the State High School Championships may automatically qualify for Sprint-distance Nationals if they meet the age requirement. The race location is 2205 Jamestown Road, Williamsburg, VA 23185.
Events, courses and race services
The event offers Olympic- and Sprint-distance triathlons, aquabike divisions, and relay options. The swim takes place at Jamestown beach. The bike course is described as flat and parallels the Cap-Cap bike trail along Rt. 5. The run course uses a mix of bike paths and jogging trails through farmland and forest.
Distances:
- Olympic: 1.5 km swim, 40 km bike, 10 km run
- Sprint: 750 m swim, 20 km bike, 5 km run
Swim starts use a time trial format with two athletes started every few seconds; an Elite Box Start is available for athletes racing up front. Registration includes a finisher medal, long-sleeved tech shirt, custom race socks, reusable packet pickup bag, timed results, age group awards, a post-race meal, finisher certificate, and free finish-line photos.
