The race consists of the following disciplines:

  • Swim: A 1.9 km swim in the waters of Lake Cunningham, a location usually closed to swimmers and opened specifically for this event.
  • Bike: A course through farmland featuring flat to rolling terrain.
  • Run: A course on rolling terrain that includes a crossing of the Bob Kerrey Pedestrian Bridge, where participants travel into Iowa and back into Nebraska.
