Event overview
The 34th Annual Hopkinton Against the Tide is a family-friendly, multi-sport fundraising event on June 20, 2026, at Hopkinton State Park in Hopkinton, Massachusetts. The event benefits the Massachusetts Breast Cancer Coalition (MBCC). Funds raised support MBCC programs including the community education program Let’s Talk Prevention: Reducing Toxic Exposures, the MBCC Webinar Series, and the student environmental health program Let’s Talk Prevention: Actions You Can Take.
Events and courses
Events include the following distances:
- 1 mile swim (USMS-sanctioned)
- 1 mile competitive swim
- 1 mile recreational swim
- 0.5 mile recreational swim
- 5K run (USATF-certified)
- 10K run (USATF-certified)
- 3 mile fitness walk
USATF certification codes are provided for the runs: 5K MA23007BK and 10K MA23006BK. Route maps are available for the swim and for the run/walk courses.
Registration, fees and policies
Registration fees for each listed sub-event are $40, tax and mandatory charges included. Online registration closes the evening of June 19. Walk-in registration is available the morning of the event at the registration tent. No early bib pickup - bibs can be picked up at registration the morning of the event. Refunds are not allowed. Minors under 18 require parent or guardian authorization and a signed Release and Indemnity Agreement. Wetsuits are permitted. No pets are allowed on the beach except service animals.
