Fall Creek Falls Spring Sprint Triathlon
The Fall Creek Falls Spring Sprint Triathlon is a multi-sport event held at Fall Creek Falls State Park in Spencer, Tennessee. This inaugural spring edition joins the established August event as a way for participants to begin their triathlon season at this location. All competitions are sanctioned by USA Triathlon, which requires participants to have either a one-day license or an annual membership.
The event features several categories for participation:
- Sprint Triathlon Individual (500 meter swim, 14 mile bike, 5k run)
- Sprint Clydesdale
- Sprint Athena
- Sprint Triathlon Relay
- Sprint Aquabike
The course for the sprint distance consists of a 500 meter swim, followed by a 14 mile bike segment, and concluding with a 5k run. The event is managed by Bald Eagle Events LLC and follows a no-refund policy, though third-party event insurance is offered during the registration process. Race entries are non-transferable between participants.
Awards are presented to the top three overall male and female finishers, as well as the top three male and female masters. Age group awards are provided for first, second, and third place in various divisions ranging from 12-15 to 70 and over. Additional awards are designated for the top three finishers in the Clydesdale, Athena, and Aquabike categories, as well as the top relay team.
