Multisport Event in El Paso
The Eagle at Night Aquathlon returns for its second year, offering a multisport experience under the lights at Ascarate Park. This USA Triathlon (USAT) sanctioned event features a combination of swimming and running. The competition utilizes a two-segment format, starting with a swim in an outdoor pool followed by a run through the park grounds and golf course.
Course details
Participants in the multisport category begin with a 400-meter swim in a 50-meter outdoor pool. The second segment consists of a 5K run around Ascarate Park, with the finish line located at the Ascarate Golf Course. For those who do not wish to swim, a standalone 5K run is also available on the same course.

Athlete Information
Registrants receive various items including a unisex race shirt, swim cap, finisher medal, and athlete bag. Chip timing is provided for competitive events. Specific divisions are available for Athenas (women 165+ lbs.) and Clydesdales (men 220+ lbs.). All participants must hold a USA Triathlon membership. The minimum age for the Aquathlon is 6 years old as of December 31, 2026. Pets, strollers, and roller blades are prohibited on the course.
