Du The Dirt Duathlon
Du The Dirt Duathlon is an off-road run, bike, run event held at Lakeside Park in Piedmont, SC (1500 Piedmont Hwy). The event uses packed dirt trails with minimal technical obstacles and little elevation change. Organizers suggest a mountain or gravel bike with treaded tires; helmets are required for the bike segments and closed-toed shoes are required on the run segments.
There are full and mini sprint formats, each available for individual entries and two-person relay teams. Chip timing is used for scoring. Awards are given for overall and age-group placings, and all finishers receive medals. No event apparel will be sold at the venue.
