Course details

Swim: a 400 meter pool swim in the 50 meter Westside Aquatic Center. Athletes start individually at five second intervals, swim one way in each lane, change lanes at each wall, and complete eight lengths.

Bike: a one-loop 15 mile course. The first and last sections run on four-lane highways with the curbside lane closed to traffic; the middle section uses quieter country roads. Terrain is described as moderate to hilly with long rolling climbs and descents. Turns are marked with pavement arrows and directional signs. Police and volunteers control intersections.

Run: a two-loop 3 mile course that begins and returns to the aquatic center. Each loop includes about 1/4 mile of hard packed dirt; the remainder is pavement. Turns are marked with pavement arrows and directional signs. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
