Event overview
The DINO Gravel Triathlon is scheduled for August 1, 2026 at Griffin Bike Park in Terre Haute, Indiana. The event offers triathlon, duathlon, and kayak triathlon formats that combine lake swim or paddle, a gravel bike section, and a trail run. Online registration closes the Wednesday before the event at midnight; in-person registration is available on race day. Camping is available at Fowler Park across the road. Day-of registration costs an additional $20 on site.

Solo entry fee is listed as $80; relay fee is $60 per person. A USA Triathlon one-day membership is required and may be purchased during registration or in person for $14. Kayak rentals are available for $20.
Course and rules
The gravel bike section is described as relatively flat with very gentle hills. The trail run is described as moderate with mostly stable surfaces and a few short ups and downs. Most of the route is said to be wide enough for passing. Allowed bicycles include mountain, cyclo-cross, and similar types; motorized assistance is not allowed. Bikes must have two working hand-operated brakes. Helmets certified by ASTM, Snell, or CPSC must be worn. Closed shoes are required. Headphones or earbuds are prohibited. Riders must finish on the same bicycle frame they started on.
Age groups and entry policies
Age-group categories start at 15-19 and continue in five-year increments up to 80+. No refunds are issued within three months of the event; refunds incur a 20% service charge. Pregnancy allows a full refund or rollover. A one-year deferral for postpartum athletes is available with prior approval. In weather cancellations the event is typically not rescheduled and fees are not refunded; entries typically roll over one year. Entry transfers are allowed prior to registration close for a $20 fee.
