Course and logistics
The Sprint bike course is a rolling out-and-back. The Olympic bike course is more technical and includes suburban streets, rolling farm country, and a fast, flat section along River Road. The run course is mostly flat and follows sidewalks and back roads along the Chesapeake Bay. All athletes must remain inside the park until the bike route is clear; if leaving earlier they must park outside the park at the fire department lot about 1.35 miles from the race site, otherwise cars parked inside may be held until police allow exits. Registration includes a finisher medal, long-sleeved tech shirt, custom socks, packet pickup bag, timed results, age-group awards, post-race meal, finisher certificate, and free finish-line photos.
