Coveathlon #4
Coveathlon #4 is a multi-sport event held at Newport Beach, California. The event takes place at 1131 Bay Back Drive and offers several participation options for athletes. Participants can choose to compete in a combination of swimming and running or select individual disciplines.
The event features the following race categories:
- 1K Swim + 5K Run
- 1K Swim
- 5K Run (participants may walk)
- 1K Swim + 5K Run Relay
The swim portion is organized into waves based on gender and age groups: Co-ed/FAST, Men 49 and under, Men 50+, Women 49 and under, and Women 50+. For the run-only event, participants start at the designated arch. Participation is limited to 250 athletes per race.
Registered participants receive a race t-shirt, a silicone swim cap, and free race photos. Performance is tracked via chip timing with live results provided. Athletes who complete all four races in the series receive a special edition long-sleeve t-shirt. Awards are presented to top overall finishes in the swim and run categories, as well as age group finishers for the combined event. An end-of-series celebration called Covechella is held at Newport Dunes following the final event, featuring music and awards. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
