Event Overview
The Coveathlon is a multisport event held at Bay Back Drive in Newport Beach, California. This event features a selection of swimming and running distances that participants can enter individually or as part of a bundle. The competition is limited to 250 athletes per race to manage the field size.
Participants can choose from the following event categories:
- 1K Swim
- 5K Run
- 10K Run
- 1K Swim + 5K Run (Individual)
- 1K Swim + 5K Run (Relay)
The swimming segment is structured with multiple waves based on gender and age categories. These categories include co-ed and fast swimmers, men aged 49 and under, men aged 50 and over, women aged 49 and under, and women aged 50 and over.
Registered athletes receive a race t-shirt, a silicone swim cap, and access to free race photos. The event uses chip timing to provide live results for all participants. Those who complete all four races in the series receive a special edition long-sleeve t-shirt. Podium awards are presented after every race for overall male and female winners, as well as top finishers in specific age groups and the relay category.
