Event details

The Cedar River Triathlon takes place on May 10, 2026 at Lake Wilderness, 22500 SE 248th Street, Maple Valley, WA 98038. The event includes a super sprint triathlon and a kids Splash n Dash category for ages 7-15. Entry categories and listed fees are: Full triathlon $85, relay $110, and Splash n Dash $30.

Course

The swim is a quarter-mile in Lake Wilderness. The bike/run portion is described as a 14-mile route that begins with about 3 miles on road/asphalt and continues on a hard-packed dirt and limestone Cedar River trail. The course includes a slight downhill to a turnaround and about 2 miles of asphalt/bike path that crosses a trestle. The route no longer uses a staircase and has a smooth transition onto the Cedar River Trail.

Safety and on-course services

Certified lifeguards will be in the water and AEDs are available. Certified flaggers will assist at intersections. Water, Gatorade, gels, first aid, and police and search and rescue notification are listed as on-course provisions. Bike handle plugs are required.

Participant items and finish

All entrants receive a long sleeve mesh t-shirt and all finishers receive a forged Cedar River medallion. Fruit is provided at the finish and a photo finish is used. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
