The 3.2-mile swim course starts at Safe Harbor Port Royal Landing Marina and finishes at the day dock adjacent to Beaufort Waterfront Park. The 1-mile swim begins at the Beaufort Memorial Hospital Dock and shares the same finish line. The 5K Run follows a path along the brick walkway behind downtown shops, crosses the Woods Memorial swing bridge, and proceeds down Meridian Road before returning to the finish arch in the parking lot.
Participants meet at the Downtown Safe Harbor Beaufort Marina for check-in before being transported by bus to their respective swim starting points. Equipment such as headphones, ear buds, and swim-enhancing gear is prohibited during the swim for safety reasons. While wetsuits are permitted, users are not eligible for competitive awards.
