Event overview
Tri the Parks - John Tanner Fall Sprint takes place on September 12, 2026 in Carrollton, GA (354 Tanners Beach Rd, 30177). The event offers multiple sprint-distance options: Sprint Triathlon, Sprint Duathlon, Sprint Aquabike, and relay versions of each. The event has a field limit of 500 and registration closes on September 12 or when the field limit is reached. Events are open to athletes aged 9 and older. T-shirts are not guaranteed for registrations after August 30.
Courses, rules and logistics
- Swim: 600 m triangle course, start and exit at the shoreline
- Bike: 13.8 miles clockwise loop on paved county roads
- Run: 5 km loop around the lake and county road
The swim uses a time trial format with athletes lining up by race number in sequence. Bike racks in transition are assigned to match race numbers. All athletes will be body marked with race number and age. Swim caps are provided and must be worn; cap color identifies swim start position.
All races are USAT sanctioned and USAT rules apply. Approved helmets only; no drafting and no blocking. All participants, including relay members, must hold a USAT membership or purchase a one-day license ($15). Course maps are provided and will be included in race packets. Parking is available inside the park with volunteer attendants and is a short walk to transition; bring photo ID and USAT card if available.
