The water portion consists of a 600 m swim starting from a dock and finishing at a boat ramp. The swim uses a time-trial start format, with athletes entering the water every five seconds. The 10.9 mile bike course traverses the roads of northern Hall County, including North Browning Bridge Road, Clarks Bridge Road, and a loop on Bogus Road featuring rolling hills. This cycling course remains open to vehicular traffic.
The run is a 5 km course comprising two laps around a paved walking path within the park. For duathlon participants, the first leg follows the same 5 km route before transitioning to the bike. All participants receive a race number and are body-marked with their age for identification. Detailed course maps are provided in the race packets, and the transition area uses numbered bike racks that correspond to participant race numbers.
