Event Overview
Tri In July is a sprint triathlon held in Bartlesville, Oklahoma, at Sooner Pool. The event supports the Richard Kane YMCA Scholarship program and features individual triathlon, relay, and youth divisions.
The adult sprint course consists of three segments:
- 400m pool swim
- 12-mile bike ride
- 5k run on the Pathfinder Parkway
The run portion takes place on a mostly shaded path. The event also provides a dedicated division for younger participants. Children aged 6-9 complete a 50m swim, 3-mile bike, and 1-mile run. Older children aged 10-13 cover a 100m swim, 3-mile bike, and 1-mile run.
Participant Information
Finishers receive a commemorative medal and a T-shirt. On-site facilities include locker rooms and bathrooms at the pool. Post-race refreshments such as water, fruit, and sandwiches are provided for participants. The organizers maintain water stations on both the bike and run courses.
Packet pickup takes place on the morning of the event at the race site. Due to the nature of the course, some roads leading to Sooner Pool are closed during the race.
