Susan Bradley-Cox Tri for Sight Triathlon/Duathlon
The Susan Bradley-Cox Tri for Sight takes place at The Club at UK's Spindletop Hall in Lexington on September 13, 2026. The USAT sanctioned event supports the UK Eye Research Fund and offers multiple race formats including triathlon, duathlon, aqua-bike, aqua-run, and relay categories as well as Clydesdale and Athena divisions.
The triathlon uses a heated, outdoor pool with a 400 meter swim conducted as a time trial start with 15 second intervals. Duathletes begin with a run course behind and beside Spindletop before mounting the shared bike stage. Both triathlon and duathlon then follow a 12.6 mile bike route on low-traffic roads in horse country east of the Kentucky Horse Park, and both conclude with a 3 mile run.
Aqua-bike follows the same swim and bike format as the triathlon; timing for aqua-bike ends when the athlete re-enters the transition area after the bike stage. Aqua-run athletes start the swim after the last triathlete or aqua-biker exits the pool, complete the same swim course, then transition to the 3 mile run course.
