Event Overview
The Tradition Triathlon takes place on Saturday, April 18, 2026. It is hosted by the Gulf Coast Running Club and occurs at its original location in Tradition Lake, next to the Tradition Master Amenities Center in the Village at Tradition neighborhood in Biloxi, Mississippi.
Course Details
The event is a sprint triathlon consisting of three stages:
- A 600-yard swim in Tradition Lake, described as a flat course around the lake's perimeter.
- A 16.2-mile bike course noted for having a few sharp climbs.
- A 5K run through the Village at Tradition neighborhood.
Race day utilizes a chip time trial start for the swim, with participants self-seeding and starting every five seconds.
Registration and Logistics
Registration is available for several categories: Triathlon - Individuals, Triathlon - Relay Teams (2-3 person teams), Triathlon - Athena, and Triathlon - Clydesdale. Standard individual registration is $80. Prices vary by date, with early bird discounts available until February 15 and price increases scheduled for April 1. There is no registration on the day of the race.
Packet pickup is available the day before the race at the Tradition Master Amenities Center. On race day, packet pickup is available only until 7:30 AM. The transition area opens at 6:00 AM. The first 150 registered participants are guaranteed to receive race swag.
Awards
Awards are scheduled for 10:30 AM. They will be presented for top finishers in multiple categories, including overall, masters, grandmasters, seniors, and five-year age groups. Awards are also given for relay teams, Clydesdale and Athena divisions, and high school participants. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
