The Rocky Hill Triathlon
The Rocky Hill Triathlon returns for its 11th year in Exeter, California, at 505 Rocky Hill Drive. The event is USAT sanctioned and offers multiple race options that use the foothills near the Sierra Nevada.
Event distances include:
- Short Course triathlon: 400 yard swim, 12.5 mile bike, 3.1 mile run
- Long Course triathlon: 800 yard swim, 24.8 mile bike, 6.2 mile run
- 10k running race with two climbs over Rocky Hill and over 600 feet of climbing
- 5k running race with some elevation gain on Rocky Hill
All finishers receive a pullover hoodie and a finisher medal. Triathlon participants receive additional items such as a Rocky Hill trucker hat, towel, and a Polar cycling water bottle. The event also provides free race photos and a free beer ticket to VIP Pizza. The finish area includes music.
Age group awards are given in ten year ranges for male and female competitors across the short distance, long distance, 5k, and 10k races. Custom Artletic apparel kits are available during registration, with a portion of sales donated to the Rocky Hill Triathlon.
Organizers state that a large portion of registration revenue is used to benefit a park or project in the city of Exeter, and that race leadership volunteers their services unpaid. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
