Event Overview
The Prairie Triathlon at NorthPointe is a multi-sport event held in Roscoe, Illinois. The competition features both individual and team relay categories. Participants complete a swim, bike, and run course that traverses local roads and campus trails. Proceeds from the entry fees benefit the Stateline Boys & Girls Club.
Course Details
The triathlon consists of three distinct segments:
- 350-yard swim: Conducted in a seven-lane pool where participants swim one lap per lane.
- 17-mile bike: An open course on country roads through Winnebago and Boone Counties.
- 3.1-mile run: Held on campus trails featuring a surface of blacktop and crushed limestone.
The transition area and bike corral serve as the hub for switching between the swimming, cycling, and running disciplines.
