Spring Migration Triathlon & Gravel Half Marathon
This event takes place in Emporia, Kansas, at Welch Stadium on the campus of Emporia State University. It features two separate competitions: a Sprint Triathlon and a Gravel Half Marathon.
Gravel Half Marathon
The running course is a 13.1 mile route that starts at the ESU Track & Field Stadium. The route winds through the Flint Hills area.
Sprint Triathlon
The triathlon consists of three segments.
- A 400 meter swim held indoors in the ESU lap pool.
- A 20K bike leg on a flat, out-and-back course heading north of Emporia on Highway 99.
- A 5K run through rolling hills located just west of the ESU campus.
A USA Triathlon (USAT) membership is mandatory for participation in the triathlon. A one-day membership can be purchased for $14.
Race day logistics include packet pickup, check-in, and body marking starting inside the pool area. Participants should enter through the east side of Welch Stadium, with additional parking available on the west side. Warm-up laps in the pool are permitted during a specified window before the event begins. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
