Southern Utah Triathlon

The Southern Utah Triathlon takes place at Quail Creek Reservoir in Hurricane, Utah. The venue is located approximately ten minutes away from St. George and Sand Hollow Reservoir. This event features multiple triathlon distances and formats held within the reservoir area and surrounding roads.

Participants can choose from the following event categories:

  • Sprint - Short Distance: 750 meter swim, 12.4 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run.
  • Olympic - Intermediate Distance: 1500 meter swim, 24.8 mile bike, and 6.2 mile run.
  • Sprint Relay: 750 meter swim, 12.4 mile bike, and 3.1 mile run for teams.
  • Olympic Relay: 1500 meter swim, 24.8 mile bike, and 6.2 mile run for teams.
  • Virtual Triathlon: An off-site participation option.

The Olympic distance follows an F1 Format, which requires participants to complete the Sprint course twice. This configuration applies to both individual and relay competitors in the intermediate category. The swim portion of all in-person races occurs in the Quail Creek Reservoir.
