Sky Trail Adventure Challenge
The Sky Trail Adventure Challenge takes place at Camp McClintock in Bartlesville, Oklahoma. Participants navigate a multi-sport course that highlights the landscape of the Osage Hills, featuring rocky terrain, grassy fields, and elevation changes. The event is open to adults 18 years of age and older.
The adventure begins with participants using safety gear to ascend a 24-foot climbing tower, followed by a zipline across Sand Creek and a crossing of a suspension bridge. The timed portion of the event includes:
- 3.2 miles of trail running, walking, or jogging through the camp trails.
- 0.75 miles of kayaking on the creek (kayaks are provided).
- 0.9 miles of running through the campground and past the Cub Cabin to the finish.
This is a zero-waste-to-landfill event focused on sustainability. All materials provided are compostable or recyclable, and participants are encouraged to bring reusable water bottles. Entry fees support youth programming for Scouting America in Northeast Oklahoma. Finishers receive a brandable "medal" where they can select a design to be applied with a branding iron.
Participants can coordinate start times with others by joining social groups during registration. Each entry includes a native plant, and campsites are available for rent the night before the event. As the course requires specialized safety equipment, dogs are not permitted to participate. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
