Finger Lakes Triathlon Silver
The Finger Lakes Triathlon Silver is a multisport festival held at the Asbury Camp and Retreat Center in Wyoming County. The event takes place over two days, starting with running races on Saturday followed by multisport categories on Sunday. The course utilizes the historic Silver Lake and traverses rural landscapes through both Wyoming and Livingston Counties.
The festival includes a variety of athletic distances and formats:
- 10K and 5K running races.
- Intermediate Triathlon: 1.5k swim, 40k bike, and 10k run.
- Sprint Triathlon: 0.75k swim, 20k bike, and 5k run.
- Intermediate Duathlon: 5k run, 40k bike, and 10k run.
- Sprint Duathlon: 5k run, 20k bike, and 5k run.
- Intermediate Aquabike: 1.5k swim and 40k bike.
- Sprint Aquabike: 0.75k swim and 20k bike.
- Youth Duathlon for ages 11-15 and 10 and under.
- High School Sprint triathlon and Relay Teams for intermediate distances.
The intermediate bike course features significant elevation changes with notable climbs. This event is part of the Finger Lakes Race Series and is featured in the USA Triathlon Inclusion Experience, which supports new athletes in the multisport community. Charity spots are available for both sprint and intermediate distances, requiring a fundraising minimum and providing a unique race bib and post-race amenities.
