Seven Bends Aqua Blaze
The Seven Bends Aqua Blaze is a multi-sport event held at Seven Bends State Park in Woodstock, Virginia. Set along the banks of the North Fork of the Shenandoah River, the course takes place in the shadows of the surrounding mountains. Participants compete in a combination of running and paddling across a 7 mile course.
The event structure consists of two primary disciplines:
- 5 mile run
- 2 mile paddle
The race organization provides boats for the paddling segment, though participants have the option to bring their own watercraft. The event is part of the Virginia State Parks Adventure Series and the USARA Race Series, allowing participants to earn series points. Registration is available for individual participants in the Solo category or for pairs in the 2 Person Team category.
The finish line is located near Muse Vineyards, where the post-race awards ceremony is held. This event is held on a Sunday, following a separate adventure race staged at the same location the previous day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
