Event Details

The Rocky Gap Off-Road Triathlon, Duathlon, Aqua Bike, and Relay takes place at Rocky Gap State Park in Flintstone, Maryland. This is the event's 22nd annual edition.

Course Information

Participants can choose from several off-road event formats. The triathlon begins with a two-lap swim in a mountain lake. The duathlon alternative starts with a 2.7-mile semi-technical trail run. All competitors then complete two laps of a mountain bike course. This bike segment features twisty lakeside singletrack trails, wide fire roads, smooth grassy sections, and rock gardens. The final segment for triathlon and duathlon participants is a 5.5-mile run on trails with roots, smooth open flats, and elevation changes.
