Event overview

The Presque Isle Sprint Triathlon takes place on August 1, 2026, at Presque Isle State Park in Erie, Pennsylvania. The event includes two race options: Individual Sprint Triathlon and Relay Sprint Triathlon. The Individual entry fee is $90 and is open to ages 13 to 100. The Relay entry fee is $100 and is open to ages 11 to 100. All registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. The race is organized by Presque Isle Partnership and ALFA Endurance and has been held in the Erie community for 24 years.

Course and logistics

All segments start, transition, and finish at Beach 10, 301 Peninsula Drive, Erie, PA 16505. The sprint course includes a swim in Lake Erie, a bike ride around the full peninsula, and a run along a portion of the paved trail. Packet pick-up is available the day before at the Tom Ridge Environmental Center; photo ID is required and each athlete must pick up their own packet. All athletes must check in on race day; day-of registrations are not accepted. Timing services and posted finish times are provided. Awards are given for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd places in individual categories and 1st and 2nd places in relay categories. Entrants receive a long-sleeve T-shirt, swim cap, and post-race food and beverages; T-shirt availability is not guaranteed for entries after July 12.
