Overview
The Indian River Networks 40th Annual PineappleMan Triathlon/Duathlon takes place on Sunday, June 7, 2026, in Melbourne Beach, Florida. The event is held at Ryckman Park with the swim around the historic Melbourne Beach Pier in the Indian River Lagoon. The triathlon and duathlon start simultaneously. Pre-race packet pickup is scheduled the day before at the Community Center in Melbourne Beach and there is additional packet pickup on race morning.
Course and awards
Distances:
- Triathlon: 0.25 mile swim, 12 miles bike, 3.1 miles (5K) run.
- Duathlon: 2 miles run, 12 miles bike, 3.1 miles (5K) run.
- Aquabike: 0.25 mile swim, 12 miles bike.
The bike course is a 12-mile out-and-back that includes a 4-mile straightaway along A1A through ocean-side parks and wildlife preserves. Run loops travel residential beach-side neighborhoods with water stations at mile markers. All finishers receive a finisher medal.
Awards are given across multiple divisions: overall male/female, masters (40+), and five-year age groups from 14 & under through 85 & up. Additional category awards include Clydesdale, Athena, adaptive/physically challenged, military/LEO/PSO, fat tire, novice, and relay teams.
