About the race
The Indian River Networks 40th Annual PineappleMan Triathlon/Duathlon, held in Melbourne Beach, Florida, is the oldest USAT-sanctioned triathlon in the state, founded in 1985. The event features multiple race categories including Elite, Age Group, Adaptive, Athena, Clydesdale, Military/Law Enforcement, Fat Tire, Novice, Relay Teams, Aquabike, Duathlon, and Duathlon Relay. The triathlon course includes a 0.25-mile swim around the historic Melbourne Beach Pier, a 12-mile flat and fast bike loop along ocean-side parks on A1A, and a 3.1-mile run through peaceful residential beach neighborhoods.
The duathlon replaces the swim with a 2-mile run before the bike and a 3.1-mile run after. All finishers receive medals, and awards are given across various divisions. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
